Within the replies to this post on Twitter, the Dying Light 2 team was asked yet again about the possibility of adding a New Game+ mode to the game. It's evident the deathloop problems haven't been resolved for everyone even with that update and others released for consoles, but the next update should hopefully rectify those issues. The last update Dying Light 2 received on the PC, for comparison, was released on February 16th and included fixes for deathloop bugs as well as other improvements. We aim to make it available for PC gamers next week, while console might get it a few days later.- Dying Light March 4, 2022 ![]() This patch will introduce fixes for deathloop, ragdoll animations, user interface, and much more! On top of hotfixes we are working on a big patch for PC and consoles. It sounds like it's going to be an update primarily geared towards bug fixes alone even if they sound like some important fixes, though we won't know for sure what all it entails until the patch notes are shared by Techland. It's supposed to include fixes for problems that players have most likely been encountering lately such as unexpected ragdoll animations and deathloops that have been an issue for some players since the release of the game. Over on the game's social media accounts, Techland tweeted about the new update that's planned for Dying Light 2 and gave an overview of some of what it'll consist of. The goal is to have it out for the PC players next week, but since Techland hasn't set an exact date yet, there's still a chance those plans could change. Developer Techland announced this week that players can expect "a big patch" for the PC platform as well as consoles to drop soon with the update planned for PC first and consoles second. Elsewhere, an Elden Ring speedrunner has managed to beat the game in a mere 50 minutes while most players are still struggling to complete their first run of many hours.Dying Light 2 has been getting updates here and there since its release alongside some free DLC for players to download, and there's another one of those updates coming. The test is only running on PC at the moment, but players can apply now if they want to give the game a go before its release. In other news, the Skull & Bones Insider Program will be inviting a select number of players to test the game during its early stages of development. The update is already available on PC but has been promised for consoles “soon”. ![]() The full patch notes can be seen on the Dying Light 2 website. There are also improvements to Nightrunner tools, combat, ragdoll behavior, gameplay during night time, the final boss fight, the user interface, the Brutality Pack and the outro. The in-game clock will no longer stop in safe zones, and co-op stability has been improved. Patch 1.2 eliminates all “known cases” with deathloops, as well as removing progression blockers across several missions. Meanwhile, Dying Light 2 will soon be getting another update on PS4 and PS5. Sat in between the two is Balanced mode, which offers 60FPS but in QHD resolution.The same update has also improved things for PS4 Pro players, who now get an improved 30FPS cap and “new networking utilizing the EOS solution”. ![]() On the other hand, High-Resolution mode gives players a consistent 30FPS in 4K resolution. Those who choose Performance mode will get 60FPS in full HD resolution. The Dying Light next-gen PlayStation 5 update is available right now and adds three new video modes.
